Circle of Ascension
Among the Flying Isles in the far north, on a small lump of suspended land, stands the Circle of Ascension. It is approximately 1053 feet high, it is accessible via a bridge that connects it to a second island. The Tower is built in classic pre-war elven style using white granite, marble and glass.
Floors of Silence. (1st-15th floor) Managed by Professor Chaucer, they are used for members of Rank D. Here students have dormitories, canteens and classrooms for study. On the ground floor we also find a small airport and a warehouse for storing food and any material or supplement the Circle needs. On the 25th floor we find the Elemental Rooms and an external ring called the Hanging Gardens.
the floors
The tower is made up of 56 floors, called: Floors of Silence, Question and Research. Floors 53, 54 and 55 are reserved for members of Rank S and their offices and are called the Floors of Discovery. On the top floor, finally, called the Floor of the Beyond, we find Lady Sariel's office.
- Elemental Rooms. Where students take the first exam that grants the tassel on their uniforms to demonstrate mastery of the Invocation school learned during the second year. The exam to advance to the next rank is also held here.
- Hanging Gardens. Greenhouses, vegetable gardens and even small forests make up these wonderful gardens where it is possible to find an infinite amount of flora from all over Auryn. This place is accessible to any member of the Circle whether for study or simply for relaxation.
- Minor Library. Only after passing the exam of the Invocation school, the students of Rank C can access the Minor Library, where almost all the texts of the basic magic schools are kept. Here the students can transcribe the first spells learned in their first spellbook.
- Rooms of Knowledge. Similar to the Elemental Rooms, the students take the exam to demonstrate their mastery of the remaining basic magic schools and thus receive the new tassels. Furthermore, the exam to pass to the next rank also takes place here.
- Major Library. Only after passing the C-Rank exam, students can access the Major Library. This is where the texts of the advanced schools of magic are kept and where they can transcribe them into their grimoire after passing the exam in the Rooms of Knowledge.
- Astronomical Tower. Much smaller in size than the main tower, it is no less important and beautiful. Accessible via a walkway connected to the quarters of the A-Rank members, this structure houses a huge planetarium containing some Matrices, a library and a telescope with a lens over 20 feet in diameter. The telescope rotates around the room thanks to a trolley mounted on a track that can cover 270° of the room.
- Arcanium Chamber. Guarded day and night, this chamber takes up an entire floor of the tower and is closed by an imposing 60-centimeter thick armored door and protected with arcane seals cast by Lady Sariel herself. Priceless artifacts, scrolls and texts are kept here and only Lady Sariel and a very limited number of S-Rank members are allowed access.
Struttura
Leading the Circle of Ascension is the elf Sariel Eathalena with the title of Supreme Archmage or simply Headmistress Eathalena.
Lady Sariel's commitments do not allow her a continuous presence within the Academy for this reason under her we find an infinite number of collaborators among teachers and employees in the maintenance of the structure. The teachers within the headquarters in the Flying Islands are all members of Rank S, while in the branches scattered throughout the nations they are members of Rank A. The other workers such as: guards, custodians and servants may not be associated with the Guild.
Ranks and Uniform
As with all the other National Guilds, even the Circle of Ascension, over the years has adapted to the organizational structure of its colleagues by dividing the members into ranks ranging from D to S. To pass from one rank to another the students must pass an exam that demonstrates their abilities. When one decides to become an arcanist, The Circle has a catalyst made for the novices, so that they can perceive the Arcane Fluxes more clearly.
Uniforms are mandatory inside the Academy up to Rank B and for Rank A teachers in the branches in other Nations although it is customary for important events, outside the Circle, to wear the uniform.
Agenda Pubblica
The purpose of the Circle is to discover the truth behind the phenomena and events of the Plane of Auryn and shed light on the millennia of dark in the Age of the Gods.
Over the centuries, the influence of the Circle has spread throughout Auryn, creating several branches scattered throughout the various nations. Wherever there is something to discover or study, the Circle has an interest in being there.
Among the most important recent studies and research are the excavations on the edge of the Eastern Desert led by Seeker Syllin Amastacia and the excavations in the Tirren Region led by Seeker Gavin Cleves.
Deaite
Arcane Fluxes that are drawn to the Plane of Auryn crystallize, creating Deaite. Also called the Material Matrice or The First, each crystal contains a very high percentage of pure magic. This material is the basis for the creation of Arcane Catalysts and all techno-magic on Auryn.
Arcane Fluxes
Also called the rivers of the universe, they appear as imposing walls of light in the night sky. In popular belief, they are believed to be the place from which the souls of mortals come and where they will return after death. Belief or not, if magic exists on Auryn it is thanks to them.

Every question is a discovery
Lady Sariel Eathalena
High Archmage and Headmistress of the Circle of Ascension
A powerful sorceress and skilled diplomat, after several negotiations with the dragon tribes that founded the Order of the Pillars, Lady Sariel managed to secure a piece of land just above the Pillar of Heaven, considering it the most suitable place for the birth of the new Circle. There are still many questions about her figure. No one can say for sure what the woman's true goal is or how old she is. Some say that she was a disciple of the first Supreme Archmage, dating her age back to the Age of Dragons. One thing is certain, however, it seems that the Headmistress of the Circle has an uncommon knowledge of that era and a morbid curiosity for the Drowiad Site. In fact, for years the elf has been funding teams of explorers and scholars to discover the nature of the immense chasm at the center of the Central Ocean and to reach its bottom.
Professor Chaucer
He was the first of his kind to enter the Circle of Ascension and become an S-Rank. He is very impatient and constantly talking. He is among the most famous engineers in the Circle. Thanks to him we have the creation of the Arcane Catalysts.
Professor Cromviel
Of humble origins, he is always serene. He judges people by their actions, not by their words. He was the only student in the history of the Circle who by the end of his third year had already mastered five of the eight minor schools of magic.
Professor Grey
Daughter of the war between elves and humans. The tips of her ears were cut off when she was just a child, either out of simple malice or in the hope of a better future. Over the years she has fought numerous battles for the rights of half-bloods in the lands of the Trident.
The Seekers
Among the most renowned members of the Circle are the Seekers. Experienced adventurers, explorers, and tireless scholars, these men and women are the first sent on the Circle's most important and dangerous expeditions. Members between the ranks A and S under the direct command of the High Archmage. They are recognizable by the distinctive pin engraved with the draconic word "discovery."
Seeker Syllin Amastacia
Among the younger Seekers, Syllin rarely thinks about the future, which often leads her to put herself in dangerous situations, such as when, while recovering an artifact in an ancient tomb, she found herself in a lair of phase spiders.
Seeker Gavin Cleves
A highly skilled marksman, an extraordinary inventor, Seeker Gavin is originally from the lands of the Trident and he is the creator of the sky-board. Some compare him to the brilliant inventor Crampernap of the Scarlet Guardians.
