Sunless BrittleBush

The Sunless Brittlebush is the counterpart to the Golden Tipped Brittlebush. It comes from the same seed and can be grown in the same dense soil, the only difference is that it must be grown in complete and utter darkness. A single strand of sunlight can ruin an entire crop of this plant. It is also worth noting, that the owning, planting, and harvesting of this plant, is illegal throughout Auros. This is because it has but one use, and that is to create an incredibly fast acting and deadly poison, of which there is no cure.

The horrid smell is unique to the sunless variety as a warning mechanism to other animals and beings, those growing it must use magical means to be able to handle its odour. A single inhale of this plant can knock most beings unconscious, and prolonged exposure could put someone into a vegetative state.

At first they would use perfumes or spices to mask the smell, but found that swarms of rodents and burrowing animals would be found dead having eaten the leaves of the plant.

The need for complete darkness has also meant that only a select few can even grow the plant. Either those with the natural ability to see in the dark, or those with the technological means to do so. Its brittleness also means that those who are heavy handed or clumsy are also unreliable growers.
