Knight of Caso City
Each city has a name for its armies commanders, for Caso City, they are called knights. Bold, courageous, and leaders of men. The knights never flee from battle and never allow unjust actions to occur under their watch. When there is war, they are the vanguard, leading hoards of men into battle, slaughtering enemies and leaving a path of bodies in their wake. In times of peace, they patrol the city, keeping criminals in line, they train new warriors in the barracks and accompany the king of Caso on diplomatic missions.
They are distinct by their green and gold amour, with their choice of greatsword, battle axe or warhammer by their side. No face guard, for a knight must stare into his enemies eyes as he fights. The breastplate is made from many layers of pointed metal sheets. It covers everything from the neck down and ending at the groin, but the shoulder area is fairly exposed to allow for greater swinging of such large weaponry. The Caso coat of arms is painted upon it, a meditating bear on a field of grass.
Career
Qualifications
A knight need no formal qualification, but only those of steady mind and brave heart can join the ranks. First, a person must train in the barracks, learn to swing a sword and shoot a bow. Sparring lessons and combat drills are conducted daily and training takes around 12 months to complete. It is not uncommon for some to die during training.
Career Progression
Becoming a Knight is the dream of every young boy is Caso city. It is the final destination, a Knight either retires of old age, living the rest of his day in his home, surrounded by medals and staff to listen to his stories, or he dies in battle, covered in blood.
Perception
Purpose
A knight's purpose is to lead his men into battle, to protect the King of Caso, and to remain loyal to its people. He must remain moral, dedicated to the cause and strongfast in his opinions. He is the moral compass for him men, and the land.
