Fey the Mouse

Fey the Mouse was the pet of the first King of Caso City, Jabon Mór (King Mór). When the First War of Caso started, Fey the Mouse was on his shoulder when he made the decree. It is said King Mór founded Caso City in order to wage war on Nguvu after being slighted by one of their earlier Lords. Whenever art is drawn or a statue made of King Mór, Fey the Mouse is always sat upon his shoulder.

Whether Fey the Mouse was a regular mouse, or a mouse from another land with a coincidental name is unclear. He did live for an abnormally long time for a mouse. It could also be that he was simply one of the first creatures to cross the border from Kati Kun, and Fey is just an early name for those from the realm between realms. Another theory is that a royal diet and no natural predators led to its long life. As King Mór aged, he even began taking council from Fey, often at the protest of his actual advisors. It is said, that the Kings final stand on the battlefield, outnumbered, poorly positioned, and without reinforcements, was because of the advice Fey had given him.

"A mouse's mind" is an insult directly referencing Fey. It infers that the person is only thinking of the small matters and not of the bigger picture. Despite the legend of Fey the Mouse being localised to Caso City, the tale acts as a warning to all new kings to heed the advice of wiser men.

Fey is presumed to have died on the battlefield alongside his King in the final battle of the First War of Caso. No one found his body, but it was assumed dead alongside its master.
