Denialism is a religious sect who believe in the god Innovation, but deny the common belief among Shifters of the Shiftica faith that Innovation is the only true god. Members of the Denialics believe that a God with as much power as Innovation has, mush have a counteractive effect to keep the balance in check.
Mythology & Lore
Denialics believe that Aureole was created and ruled originally by two Gods: Innovation and Inert. However, while Inert gave the Originals immortality, it also restricted their technological development. Tired of living in poor conditions, and bored of a life without change, the Originals conspired with Innovation to overthrow Inert. The Originals betrayed half of their creators, and in doing so, created humanity. Being allowed to reproduce, develop science, and change, the fledgling Humanity took its first steps. Over time humans lived and died, pleasing Innovation, and disgusting Inert. Inert retreated further and further away from the perceived horrors of humanity under Innovations influence, until Inert is all but forgotten to most humans.
Cosmological Views
Denialism believes that the two Gods created Aureole together. They each gave concessions in order to create the planet, for example, Innovation allowed Inert to tidally lock the planet, if in return the Originals were given free will. What Inert did not anticipate, was that Innovation would manipulate the Originals to abandon Inert.
