The Wood Elfiry Sage's

The Elfiry Sages are the Storytellers and the Philosophers of the tribe and in every tribe of Elfiry there will always be a sage though their roles will differ from tribe to tribe, for the oaken they are the ones that fact check the historical records and compare it with history from other oaken tribes nearby, for the Ashen they are philosophers and in debates act as Speaker and for the chestnut Elfiry they are keeping the holy words of their gods alive and keeping the spiritual needs of the tribe satisfied.   The Sages are formed by Elfiry those who had spent at least 100 winters exploring the world and meeting with other elfiry tribes as well as other species to help them gain the perspective needed to understand how small thier own tribe is compared to the wider world and thus using this knowledge guide the next generations into avoiding pitfalls that could condemn their people to horrific fates.   Many agree that it does not require much in the way of ritual or rite to become one of the revered sages merely a long and experienced life but given how experience and emotion itself gives power and magic as it echoes from the outer planes perhaps this is enough alone to give the Elfiry the magic needed to adopt the next form in their lifecycle to become a sage as is typically called by outsiders and even some Elfiry despite it being only one of the possible forms a old Elfiry could take.   Though one of if not THE most important roles of a Sage is to become a Trimarch Trees which requires the sage to consume the Golden Drogue as well as the a few other components for which they will venture once more from their tribe but this time they shall not return seeking to create a new tribe made with the wisdom and strength the sage had in their previous life.
