The Accord of Aleth

The Accord of Aleth is both a meeting of deities that occurred at the end of the War of Beginnings and the name of the agreement reached there. The deities in attendance were Auran Prime Deities that make up the Court of Elders and the Court of Elementals. The Court of Elders deities represented the sentient peoples of Aurus in their desire to live in relative peace and harmony with the world and not see it ripped apart by the untamed forces of the elements. The deities of the Court of Elements represented the elemental forces that created Aurus who were concerned by the instability caused by their own wars and activities but refused to see a world where all the might and majesty of the forces of nature were tamed and subdued by mortals who would keep the cycles of creations/destruction and life/death/rebirth locked in stagnation.

The negotiations were intense and broke down into physical conflicts on several occasions. The entire project took 4 decades totaled; but in the end the final agreement was approved unanimously with a sense of optimism about the endeavor, About two thirds of the total mass of Aurus became its physical, mortal world while the remaining third was divided up into the elemental and divine planes which surround and coexist with the material, protecting it from the Blind Eternities around it and wanton intrusion from other realities. Each member of the Court of Elements rules the elemental plane corresponding to their elemental type and the Divine Realm would be further divided among the other deities of the world to create their personal sanctums and afterlives. All of these divine realms as well as the elemental planes can be accessed from connections to the Pillar of Light, an extra-dimensional island at the center of the world.
