Gnome (Parent Species)

Basic Information

Anatomy

Gnomes are humanoids standing about 2 1/2 to 3 feet tall and weigh between 40 and 45 lbs. They can be fat and stout to thin and nimble. Their ears are tapered and pointed like an elves.

Biological Traits

Their eyes are adapted for living and working in their burrow homes and seeing in dim light. They posses an innate ability to form an empathic connection with small burrowing animals such as moles, rabbits, and badgers. Mechanically this ability appears to function just like the spell Speak with Animals, except that it is limited to the above type of animals and functions in areas where other magic normally does not.
