Foreign Relationships

Amn holds alliances with most every nation in Athunis thanks to their control over the major banking systems of the world.   These allies view Amn as a neutral nation in all matters. Anyone with the gall to move against Amn would face the wrath of the world. People understand that, without these banking systems in place, the world would fall into utter chaos. Rumored corruption aside...   This fact makes Amn arguably the most powerful nation in Athunis. They certainly believe so...

History

Amn is one of the oldest human nations in Athunis. At it's founding, it was far from the coin rich nation it is today; through the years it's geographic position in relation to other budding and would be nations made it an epicenter of trade. With this trade brought coin, and with the coin flowing in troves a banking system was established: the Central Repository of Wealth. It is from the establishment of the CRW that all other banks would base their own founding. Before long, Amn became a nation of banks and bankers dedicated to protecting and maintaining the world's wealth.

Geography

Amn is located in the Western hemisphere almost directly along the equator. It is surrounded by the Bay of the Bow to the North, the Magescar Strait to the North East, and the Golden Cove to the East.   The landscape itself is rather flat with little forest. There is one sizeable lake in the North West near the edge of the nation's border. Almost cities, towns, and villages are along the coast, lending to its name: The Gold Coast Commonwealth. The grasslands inland are utilized for grain crops and livestock though the climate produces less than sufficient harvest for a nation this size.

Natural Resources

Amn is very limited in natural resources, relying heavily on imported goods to keep it's people sustained. What resources they do have include:
  • Grain crops
  • Fertile farmland (though often too wet to produce quality crop)
