The History of Eramis
The lands of Eramis have a history that greatly differs from the rest of the Mundane World. A land that for the longest time was not ruled by Dragons, nor Giants. A land largely populated by Elves and Dwarves, not Men. A land of Scorching Skies, Arid Deserts, Treacherous Badlands... Where life is a struggle for all.
The Radiance
30,000 to 850 years ago
From the Ashes of what came before, the Elves rose like a Radiant Phoenix. When the Elves came to Eramis, they found a land ripe for the taking. The natives of the Desert were beaten down from millenia of infighting and trying to survive the Fiendish Host. The Elves who came to Eramis were well-equipped to deal with the Outsiders though. They were among the Elves who cultivated and studied the Radiance, a branch of the Arcane that channeled the power of the Divine. The Demons and Devils stood no chance. The Elves quickly claimed the land for their own, establishing a blend of their own customs and those of the native populace. Soon enough, the cultures merged, and the Empire of the Radiant Soul took hold, standing strong. Arcane Magic swept across Eramis, spread by the Empire. The Elves perfected the Radiance, even learning to Raise their Dead through the power of Positive Energy, rather than Negative energy. A new understanding of Necromancy and Undeath spread across the land, and a new age of understanding and prosperity took hold.
