Saoirse
Saoirse, growing up, before she died and the Hunters brought her back.
Saoirse, after the Hunters cast Reincarnate to bring her back.
Saoirse (Ser-sha), a full-blooded Orc in her late 30s. Just under 7 feet tall, and while not as bulky as many of her kin, she's well-muscled and built to weather the harshest storms. She has long, jet-black textured hair that's most often pulled back, braided or weaved together tightly. Her dark green skin scarred and weathered from life at sea, her hands strong and sure. She has a calm demeanor, an often expressionless face, and typically speaks little. Not necessarily mean, just quiet. Reserved.
Sisters by bond, not blood. Nigh inseparable, even if they won't admit it. An odd pairing, both very different personalities, but always at each other's back....at least when they're not at each other's throats.
Aoife was actually an only child to a sweet, hardworking Halfling couple that desperately wanted a big, happy family. Fishers by trade, they worked hard on the docks of Hadleigh, day in and day out, yet still found plenty of time to take care of young Aoife.
Life on the Isles can be harsh, and unfortunately many find themselves losing loved ones. Whether from harsh storms, ravenous sea creatures, or bloody raids, death is far from uncommon. Sadly, that was the reality of a lone infant Orc, found on a small abandoned ship. But, fate had different plans for her, and she was fortunately found by a kindly, caring Halfling couple, taken in, fed, cared for, and immediately considered family.
Aoife immediately loved her new sister, and often took it upon herself to protect Saoirse, even as the little Orc grew taller than her. The two became inseparable, and while they'd often drive each other crazy as most siblings do, they always watched out for one another, fought for one another, and often got into loads of trouble together.
Saoirse on the other hand is much more subdued, reserved and direct. She's never been a master wordsmith, but she'd got a strong back, an outstanding work ethic, a good eye for spotting bullshit. While not as eager to jump headfirst into trouble as Aoife is, Saoirse refuses to back down from her (and often times her sister's) problems, facing them head-on and persevering no matter what comes her way. She has a kind heart, much owed to her adopted family's unconditional love, but she still has the burning passion of her Orc-ish kin within her. Saoirse doesn't have the most diverse skillset, but when it comes to sailing she has a keen eye and natural talent. Her navigation skills have helped her and Aoife stumble their way through many a dangerous shortcut on the seas, and is just as valuable to their business as Aoife's sharp words and wit.
Still somewhat new to Hunter's Quarry, having only lived in the town for the past decade, the people there have nonetheless accepted them as a crucial and beloved part of the community. That feeling has been mutual for the sisters as well, as time and time again, they've called the Port of Hunter's Quarry home, and have done much to make sure the community survives.
