Lowan
Lowan is the mortal name Lathander took after Tearfall . He lives as a painter and poet in Mistvale. He is hidden in plain sight due to Drosda's magic.
His memory of the events before Tearfall is fuzzy, almost nonexistent.
He remembers peace first for ages, then anger, something was stolen, then suddenly he was falling for miles and miles. He wandered Astriel for years before finding Drosda, a man seeking a soldier looking to right his wrongs, to absolve sin from the world. Drosda offered to keep Lowan hidden, and in return Lowan granted him access to powerful magic.
Lowan does not wish to return to godhood, nor does he have any desire to use magic. He wishes to live out the rest of his life in peace and in isolation. He does not want companionship, he wants to be alone without responsibility for the rest of his life.
But now, after years of being invisible, unfindable, he is randomly hunted by the same creature that's been swallowing the king's dissidents.
