The M.R.D.
The MRD stands for Magical Research Division, the biggest research division in the Coalition. The MRD is the division responsible for most major technological and magical breakthroughs. Most experiments are lead by Navarch Merlin Magius, but the Division has no shortage of genius wizards and scientists should he be absent.
While the MRD is known for all of their breakthroughs, more often than not its actually the TAD (Technological Advancement Division) that does most of the hard work, the MRD simply takes credit for their inventions.
Notable inventions of the MRD have been; customizable blasters, modular ships, the Dark Matter Engine, single-use spells, magical prosthetics, and magical tattoos.
