A small cephalopod worn by multiversal adventurers and spelljammers alike. The creatures are not sentient, but do utilize a series of flashing lights and shifting hues to communicate with each other and then a short-range telepathy to translate to their respective hosts. The creatures are docile and feed on the ambient psionic energy surrounding any thinking thing. When wearing a Babelpod and speaking, your Babelpod will detect your intentions and communicate them to any other Babelpods it can see within 20 feet, all of which will telepathically convey anything you said to their hosts in a language they understand.

Babelpods are used commonly to facilitate day-to-day communication between peoples, though there is still no substitute for learning the language of a species you speak with frequently.
