Cleia
Goddess of Fertility and Beauty
Daughter of Julianos and Comina, Cleia was believed to be born from the first union between the god and goddess. She was blessed with eternal beauty and youth, which caused many fights between the gods over her hand. Though she made a vow to remain pure and not marry any god. For the old legends fortold she had truly loved three mortal men. Ganissius who was the greatest warrior pre-Caralingian era. Who had rumored to have taken Cleia's maidenhood and created the first of the Aasimar.
Lukostese, the great magician who had been the apprentice of Julianos himself. Though Lukostese eventually died to the arrow shot by the jealous Neferata who had desired the man's soul and love for herself. And lastly the first Caralingian Emperor Cassius, who threw away the northern invaders and united the Caralingian people against the Elven oppressors and Orc savages. It was said, that Cleia herself was the one who held Cassius coronation and gave the blessed crown of the Emperors.
Worship and Holy Day
Unlike most gods, Cleia has young women often the selected beauties of the empire as her priestesses. They are sworn to keep their maidenhood and to hold sacred rights in the heart of the Caralingia, the capital of the Empire. There can only be 12 maiden priestesses, one for each god and goddess. But those often have younger acolytes to take the place of the priestess when they pass away, or come to age of 32, when they can choose to either reintroduce themselves to the society or take the vow of Eternity. Where they are taken to the underground temple of Cleia to continue their work in peace, never to be seen again.
To sacrifice and give offerings Cleia often takes peacocks and swans. But sometimes a beautiful male or woman is given to the temple, where they become living sacrifice. Serving the needs of the temple.
Her holy day is 3rd of Learii.
