Trans Galactical Trade Organisation

"They probably have more of a hold on Galactic politics than the Federation and Jerace combined, they are stupidly powerful."The Trans Galactical Trade Organisation (TGTO) is currently the largest Trade Organisation in the Galaxy of Astraesto. It is an intergovernmental agency of nearly all Galactical powers, including the Federation of Anfieden and Allied Planets, the 4th Empire of Jerace, the Republic of Osheni, the Kingdom of Apreas and the Kingdom of Apalachi. Several subnational organisations also have representation in the TGTO. The TGTO is currently headquartered in Gevona, Osheni. It is led by current Trade General Julien Asteran. Every nation sends representatives to the TGTO, where they meet to discuss trade of goods, services and intellectual property. The organisation also serves to mediate and discuss disputes between members, which usually involves solving issues the Federation and Jerace have with one another. The TGTO is considered incredibly powerful on the galactic stage, and has stopped countless wars, as well as increased trade routes and value of all its' members.
History
The TGTO was founded in the wake of the dissolution of the Grand Galactic Trade Initiative (GGTI). It was intended to be a much more manageable version of the GGTI, and much more effective on the Galactic level. It was headquartered at Gevona to please both the Federation and Jerace, as neither wanted the other to have power over the other, especially on such an important issue as trade.
