Now a dead language, Untheric was the language of the people of Unther.
Description
Untheric has a guttural, rhythmic, and syllabic quality. It tends to feature hard consonants and deep, back-of-the-throat vowels. Words feel compact yet weighty, often chanted or declaimed with measured cadence, giving the impression of sacred incantation or legal proclamation.

Untheric is written in the Cuneus script.
History
The Untheric language was brought to Astora along with the Untheric people as slaves of the Imaskari empire. It remained their primary language until the collapse of the Untheric Empire. After the fall, the language fractured into several distinct dialects until Tarakovian rose to prominance and took over as the dominant language of the region.
Special
As a dead language, availability to learn it is more limited than other languages. It now only exists in written form, and can only be learned via ranks in linguistics or as a bonus language by native speakers of a derived language or those who have access to materials or individuals from which to learn it (DM discretion).
