Resonites

Resonites are a tentacled, semi-humanoid astral race that share much of their origin with the Etherians, yet hold a vastly different perspective from their fellow astral beings concerning how best to interact with the cosmos beyond their home world. So far, the Resonites' only contact with the humanoid races has been an act of overt aggression, interrupting what was to be the first of several educational exchanges between the Etherians and the Vellus Clan. The Etherians present for the incursion insinuated that this was common behavior for resonites, and expressed regret that they had brought the trouble of their opposition to their wofully unprepared allies' doorstep.
  Resonites are known to harness cosmic harmonics and resonance as both a means of communication and attack, and to possess a simliar degree of technical advancement to the Etherians, who they have long considered rivals.
