Kamenuma Swamp
This large swamp sits just north of Kabedomo and the bridge that connects the mainland to Kyushu. Most people avoid the swamp, as tales of nasty yokai and demons are often told concerning it. Weary travelers usually take a boat around the swamp for fear of said rumors, while those who venture through it often get lost or stuck in its maze-like structure.
The swamp itself really only comes to life at night, when all the predators and horrors apparently come to life. Some say the swamp shifts and turns about in the middle of the night to disorient travelers and lead them to an unsuspecting doom. So long as the travelers have some sort of way to guess their direction however, they appear to get through the swamp unscathed.
