Disaster strikes when violent and prolonged torrential rain causes the Iron River to burst its banks, flooding the Ersatz Harbour in Malvarron.
Many homes and structures were destroyed in the Wallows devastating the area.
107 people were thought to have been washed away with the tide, and were later presumed dead.
