Technological achievementSince the sages left the technological level declined of The Isle of Zamby to an early/mid medieval age. Seafaring capabilities were lost, armor and weapon smithing were limited. The technological state stabilized and stagnated.

Starfall on Sol
Celestial / CosmicA star (meteorite) fell on the city of Sol , destroying the vast majority of the city and killing most of it's inhabitants. Legend says a green smoke emanated from the shards of the star polluting the city and cursing the entire isle.

The Lingering Curse
Disaster / DestructionAfter the Starfall, the ruins of Sol became cursed. No one could enter the city without becoming ill and eventually dying. After 17 years, the curse seemed to attenuate but spread to the whole island.
