Sol
The Sun

The Sun (known as Sol) orbits around Asphodel, bathing the planet with its life-giving rays. Its orbit is circular, and is slightly lowered and diagonal (see Cosmology Diagrams), so that a part of the planet is sunbathed for a greater part of the year, contrasting the other part, and therefore differently influencing the ecology of both hemispheres.
The Sun itself is a proxy of one of the deities, who is personified differently among several of world's religions, although the power of them comes from the same source.
