The Old Forge

The Old Forge is another cherished hidden meeting spot of the Sons of Loki motorcycle club. Tucked away in a remote and secluded area outside Ashwick Falls, it holds historical significance to the club, and its name pays homage to its past as a blacksmith forge from a bygone era.  

Historical Background

In the early days of Ashwick Falls, the area around The Old Forge was a bustling hub for blacksmithing and metalworking. Local craftsmen used the forge to shape metal into various tools, weapons, and decorative pieces. Over time, as technology advanced, the need for traditional blacksmithing declined, and the forge fell into disuse, becoming an abandoned relic of the town's industrial past.  

Transformation into a Meeting Spot

When the Sons of Loki motorcycle club was founded, they discovered The Old Forge during one of their early rides. Drawn to its rustic charm and its connection to Ashwick Falls' history, the club members saw an opportunity to transform the abandoned forge into a meaningful gathering place for their brotherhood.   With the collective effort of club members, The Old Forge was renovated and converted into a rustic meeting spot. They cleaned the interior, reinforced the structure, and adorned the walls with club memorabilia, including flags, banners, and photographs of memorable rides and events. The exterior was left relatively untouched, preserving the authenticity of its historical character.  

The Rustic Ambiance

The Old Forge exudes a rugged and rustic ambiance, perfectly aligned with the spirit of the Sons of Loki motorcycle club. Inside, the aroma of aged wood and iron still lingers, and the flickering light from lanterns and candles enhances the atmosphere during evening gatherings. The space is often illuminated with the soft glow of a bonfire, adding to the sense of camaraderie and warmth.  

Club Ceremonies and Brotherhood

The Old Forge holds a special place in the club's heart, serving as the venue for important club ceremonies, discussions, and brotherhood-building events. Initiation ceremonies for new prospects are held here, as well as the passing down of club traditions and stories to younger members.

The Sons of Loki motorcycle club members take pride in their craftsmanship, and The Old Forge serves as a space for their artistic endeavors. It is not uncommon to find club members working on custom motorcycle parts, crafting Viking-inspired art, or designing unique club merchandise within its walls. The Old Forge becomes a creative haven where members can express themselves through their skills and talents.
