The Suchan Invasion of Izumo
Long before the Suchan reached Izumo proper, the Mutaku and Sansei nations began organizing themselves as news and refugees flooded into their lands. The Suchan, like with Kosa first sent diplomats, now more forceful, demanded recognition of the Khan’s authority, which the Mutaku and Sansei answered in kind by sending their heads. The Suchan organized a largest invasion yet, an army of 100 thousands, twice what Izumo could muster, composed by a mix of core Suchan and conscripted vassals. Most importantly was the newly built Kosa Navy, with Suchan officers.
The collection attempted to meet by forcing a crossing at the Tainsu river, sacrificing those north of the river. The Suchan attempted to force a crossing, but were repulsed by the coalition navy, before a large naval engagement broke out, but with the Suchan inexperienced at sea, and morale of the Kosa being poor, the Suchan were losing. However At the same time, dissatisfaction over the coalition's abandonment of the northern nations, caused a great deal of unrest among their armies, which led to the defection of much of the north to the Suchan side. This in turn, enabled the naval battle result in Suchan Favor, enabling control over the Tainsu River. Having lost the battle, and the betrayal, the collection broke, with each army retreating to their home territory.
Now unopposed the Sucan crossed the Tainsu river a year later after consolidating the north, defeating each nation one by one. The Suchan were unbeatable, and took the opposition seriously, choosing to raze cities which attempted to hold out. For many in Izumo, the invasion could only be the apocalypse. In the end, only the Yuzhou and their Yusuko remained unconquered, having preferred to let their enemies be destroyed then assist.
