The eighth God woven by the Weaver from her own blood, was Zolaris, The God of the Sun. The story of Zolaris and Runalia is a one of the greatest love stories told upon the world of Ashiel with a thousand and one variations. Some things remain the same from tale to tale. Upon seeing Runalia, Zolaris fell in love with her immediately and began to pursue her. Eventually Zolaris caught Runalia and their romance became a bond that would not be broken between them When the Breaking of the World happened and The Eater was freed it was Zolaris who went into the Chaos Storm blazing with power to fight the great beast. He fought The Eater to the death, time and again. Each time his body fell it burst into flames and from the ashes he rose again, once more blazing to fight. Four times Zolaris fell and by the end he had used the loose ends of the Threads of Existence to bind The Eater, but in the process all of Existence was twisted and bent, pulled in around the now bound Eater. Zolaris took up watch, surrounding The Eater with his fire, his sun burning in the center of the world. Zolaris ensures that The Eater does not escape again.   Zolaris is often depicted in art as a tall and beautiful man with a perfect body of bronzed skin. He is often shown only wearing pants and bracers of gold on his arms. His hair is long and wavy and from his head to the tips of his hair it passes through the colors of red, orange, yellow and white. Zolaris' eyes are bright blue in color. Zolaris has many temples in his name, in the Free Lands of Muria, The Empire of Sera, The Stratocracy of Isenfeur and the Kingdoms of Bata. There are small houses of worship devoted to him scattered in many of the other lands, but not in the Theocracy of Ordina. The shrines which are dedicated to him are almost always also dedicated to Runalia as well. His worshippers can be found travelling all over, seeking out those who would worship The Eater and any spawn of The Eater that may manifest, and eradicate them Zolaris' symbol is a circle with a single dot in the center of it.
