The thirteenth and last of the gods woven by The Weaver from thread crafted from her own soul was Cendar, The God of Chance. While Berana is capricious and loves to mock others, Cendar is a true trickster, wanting nothing more than to keep things fun and interesting and maybe a little off balance now and then. Cendar is not evil, not is he good. If anything he purposely straddles that line, for to favor one side or another would make him incapable of being what he is. Chance, despite appearance of good or bad luck, plays no favorites. A flip of the coin, a toss of the dice, a deal of the cards, all instances of where Cendar dances. When Cendar manifests is could be in any form, for a trickster must be adaptable, but there are a few favored forms. The swarthy gambler with dark hair and mischievous eyes. The charming liar with fair hair and a trusting smile. The bumbling oaf who leaves plans upset in his wake. In most art, however, Cendar is depicted as a darker skinned, lean man with a well groomed goatee beard and moustache, short dark hair with a slight curl to it and brilliant gold eyes in which mischief and merriment often dance. He is often shown wearing silk clothing and dressed like a wealthy merchant or nobleman.   There are no temples to Cendar and no small houses of worship, unless you count gambling houses. There are shrines to him, which can be found at gambling houses, inns, taverns and within large cities. There are also some roadside shrines to him, usually at waystations. Coins are the typical offering at shrines of Cendar and are as often taken from shrines as given. The Plutocracy of Cendaq particularly reveres Cendar, as the name of their land confesses, though they have no temples to him there despite this reverence. Cendar's symbol is two overlapping squares which form an eight-pointed star.
