Building an Organization
*Homebrew - I'll do a quick poll before starting the campaign to see if anyone would like this addition.
At some stage in the campaign, you might end up saving a small settlement. You may choose to have this settlement become the home of your organization if you're interested in making one. Your organization may provide you with valuable perks and can be a source of quests. In addition, you may choose to invest money or downtime into your organization to facilitate its growth.
Some examples of how you may be able to expand your organization and its perks:
- You come across a blacksmith and complete a quest for them. You may then perform a Charisma (Persuasion) check and ask them to move to your organization's hometown. If they do so, they will be able to provide you with new weapons or enchant weapons at a discount.
- You come across some goods that are only sold in a specific store in a specific town. You spend a part of your downtime to set up a trade route with your own organization, after which you can buy these goods at any stage.
- You can set up a new remote communication with the settlement where your hometown is in using the Zylra Bank, so that you can buy goods or access information at any time you please when you're in a major city.
- You establish a bond with a thieves guild (or any other organization) and persuade them to work together with your organization so that you can access new information through your organization.
- You may invest money into your organization to buy a local mine, allowing them to earn you money over time.
- When your organization is big enough, you can use it as political leverage.
