Alternate use for Hit Dice in Dungeons
*Homebrew - I'll do a quick poll before starting the campaign to see if anyone would like this addition.
When doing a short rest, some players may end up not using their Hit Dice at all. So it was previously brought up that having more options for spending Hit Dice during a short rest might make the mechanic more interesting. The concept of Hit Dice then becomes the time/effort spend on various activities during a short rest. I've made a table below with various options, but any input is more than welcome (especially for balancing!). You can decide which skills you'd like to use and may even do the same skill multiple times. Adding these additional Hit Dice options will make player characters stronger, but this can be balanced out by making the dungeons a bit more challenging.
*Effects dissapear when you leave the dungeon or after a long rest.
