ASCENSION SPACE (REDUX)
Ascension Space is the setting for the Ascension War, a dark space opera with cyberpunk, biopunk and cosmic horror elements.
It is our solar system in a distant future, though it is a very different place to what we know today. The most basic premise is that at some point humanity had a Singularity Event, triggering a new age. The solar system was colonised and great fleets of Ark Ships left to find new homes beyond. Then an apocalyptic event called the Cataclysm brought everything crashing down, plunging the system in a centuries long Dark Age.
The Ascension War will delve into this setting and follow a band of misfits reluctantly embroiled in the machinations between powerful nations and an insidious threat working behind the scenes to finish what the Cataclysm began.
