Personal history
Chris, though most of their forms tend to appear human, is a succubus. An ancient devil from the Nine Hells, Chris has spent the majority of their life seducing and subsequently draining the souls of countless mortal victims.
Well, victims is a bit much. I like to think they at least partially enjoyed it.
However, he currently lives a very different lifestyle. After being sent to seduce a scholar, Chris began to read some of the journals and tomes she had lying around her. After sacrificing her, they found that they much preferred reading to murder, so continued to stay in her residence reading her extensive library. The King's Hand, who were sent to investigate the mysterious disappearance of the scholar, stumbled upon Chris. Though initially hesitant, they decided to take a chance and offer them a place as the official researcher and librarian of the King's Hand. Chris took up their offer and has since lived in the basement of the Laughing Goblin Inn, sourcing and reading books on anything that may pose a threat to the kingdom.

Chris seems to enjoy reading and research, hence his position. He has quite a distaste for devils.
Oh, and I do have quite a taste for pastries.

Contacts & Relations
Chris seems to be well trusted and liked by the other members of the King's Hand for the most part, despite his infernal heritage. However, some of the newer members have expressed distrust. As for any relations in his previous life in the Nine Hells, this too is unknown, though he does seem to have knowledge of the Archdevils.
Gosh, how dramatic. Can't a devil keep a few things private?
