Dara Veldan
When Dara was born she resided
on her home continent of Uvra with her family.
Her father Luga, her mother Titha,
and her younger brother Xander.
When she and Xander were very little the "nuclear" class Uvaran Xeno, in service to the enemy Anvari created a bond with the two siblings. The plan was to have both children lose control creating a devastating explosion that would have wiped out their family.
Luga and Titha, in a desperate effort to seal the volatile and explosive powers coursing through their children, call on the elder Uvaran Aktus. He cannot seal the bonds on both siblings however, so first he must pull the curse from one, and combine it to the other. Dara volunteers in this moment, allowing Aktus to seal the dangerously radioactive Xeno only inside Dara. For a short period after the sealing there is peace. However the volatile cocktail of different Uvaran powers flowing through Dara is unnatural and unpredicatable. Soon, emotional outbursts create dangerous and explosive side affects. This ability was discovered early on after several accidents that caused the family to isolate away from their initial responsibilities within the city.
At a young age she was scouted and brought before the Sangari, a powerful mage collective, at age 12 They decided to train her privately, hoping to hide her volatile and destructive powers until they could be wielded for the Veldan Empire. Their true purpose throughout was to wield her power as a weapon against their enemies, the Solan Empire, and the human enemies that thrive below.
They took over her education at this point for two years and their rigorous instructions molded her into a knowledgeable young sorcerer. Her family, however, feared the violent influence of the Sangari and sought to separate her sending her instead to the Prayan Academy when she is 14. It is here she partners with the Bailan entity Fermia. She eventually graduates from the Prayan Academy at the age of 20 and returns to the capitol continent of Uvra to reunite with her family. It is here she re engages with the Sangari, seeking higher authority with which to ultimately dismantle them. She masters the higher training set forth by the Sangari by the age of 22 and is qualified to receive her induction marks. A ceremony is anointed and set, however before it can happen the Solan Empire strikes destroying the tower Juno on the continent of Dannis Major, presumably killing both her father Luga and her younger brother Xander. This loss devastates her and her mother Titha. However they push forward through to the grief to complete the induction ritual. Upon receiving her induction marks she immediately begins to lose control nearly wiping out all those in attendance. To save her from being destroyed by the guards of the attendees, her own mother drives her blade “Disprosi” through her hand, Breaking the seal and negating the magic cast. Fearing retaliation from the Sangari, and others calling for her death, her parents send her to train with Agoston. A noble leader of the fighting force “The Laughing Knights” She travels aboard their warship the Saturn now learning as she goes how to wield her own power and restore her place among her people and her family.
