Birqan Elves

Dark, sun kissed children of Thrane born in the First Age. They take on the role of stewards for the weaker species of Thrane and Moyadeen, and are one of the first to march against humans in the great war at the end of the First Age. During the Second Age they took a position of great power, shifting the gaze of their faith to Sol, a deity known to be greater than even Thrane and Moyadeen. Their ambitions drive them to dark, mysterious places where they unlock horrible power and draw hubris when they accidentally revive the Shaedring during the Second Age. During the Third Age they continue to feed their ambitions, driven by revenge and a desire to reclaim the Earth from Humans, a species they have tasked themselves with the destruction of. Many Birqan Elves in the Third age do embrace an integration of species. However a powerful new autocratic regime is emerging in the form of the Solan Empire led by a vengeful purist preaching king.
