Bailan Elementals
Some Heurians, in the wars of the Second Age chose to ally themselves with the Artan expedition to the surface of Juno. These Heurians, to protect themselves in the atmospheres of Arta, allowed themselves to be bonded to elemental stones called Bailis Stones. They are held and protected by the Hecati Order and most of them are locatec at the Prayan Academy on Dannis Major.
Each individual stone is actually a collection of several Heurians combined into a sort of hive mind. These individuals are grouped by their affinity for a specific element. Any students who create a contract with a "Bailan" can harness that specific element. Many students form bonds with the more accessible and less volatile Bailans as part of their education. They make their home aboard Dannis Major with the Prayan Academy as their central home.
The more dangerous elements are rarely allowed to bond with anyone for fear of their misuse. They are kept at a secret Hecati facility aboard Amog-Mar, a large barren island holding orbit just above the atmosphere of Arta.
