I dream of world of peace and diversity. Of a hundred ideals radically different and interwoven. Where the flow of magic runs through cables clustered against fiber optic lines. A land of impossible nations ruled by unfathomable leaders. Peoples as numerous as the dew drops on a field of flowers so vibrant your heart aches in yearning.   I dream of a world of struggle and turmoil. Of a hundred right answers clashing with a thousand wrong ways. Where dominion over neighbors fractures and the states reform in a kaleidoscope of ways. A place of people too different to understand but so similar you see your soul inside them. Strife that is as real as our world, with a conclusion of hope, not despair.
A modern fantasy project, Arrunal takes the roots of many literary fantasy settings and presses forward into a modern timeline. The surface of the world would look strikingly familiar and tame, while also appearing foreign and strange. This is a world of thousands philosophies on what it means to be, and how you should.

Magic & Machine

I love magic systems, from soft, tolkien style to the basically-science hard ones. I also love the aesthetic of modern magic as well, and I wish to blend it all together here. Something I love to explore is a system of magic that is fairly middle of the ground but highly exploited. Academics know a lot, but we don't know everything, and that won't stop them from pumping raw arcana from mana wells to sell at a premium.

Rights to Rule

Through war, ideological struggles, and the clashes of cultures and races, differing ideologies have grown and fractured. Many nations of peoples have grown to have wildly different ways of self-structuring, but are any of them right? It isn't always the victor that tells history, it is the survivors, those that can remember, and the pen that tells the tale.

I love storytelling and enjoy making narrative plays on mundane topics. This whole world first developed as a setting for my primary story "Mhyrian Saga" and various smaller stories next to it. As I develop nations, religions, and struggles, I will include narrations here, slowly expanding and growing my vision.
