The Whirlwind of Life
There is no doubt that busy people remain busy - life and our "To-Do" lists expand to consume the waking hours we have. This year my life has been extremely full, but this summer - for the next 5 weeks - I will be pushing down the priority of other things, and spending some time finishing out a few background stories in Arrhynsia and opening the book on a new world -
Eryia.
I have been using
Arrhynsia as a worldbuilding tool to keep the background of my novel Out of Darkness straight, but when we started a new DnD 2024 Campaign (Four Weeks Later), we set it in Arrhynsia in a past period and I built out the town in which it takes place -
Norstrolm out. I continue to be impressed with powerful tools that World Anvil puts at my fingertips. I only wish I had the time and knowledge to exploit them all!
Eryia is also inspired by a desire for my inside circle of friends to play a short campaign using Matt Mercer's new Dagger Heart gaming system. Eryia is literally a brand new world - I began work on it late last week. Unlike Arryhnsia, Eryia is a world that will be designed to support a VTRPG campaign from the very beginning. It is my hope that when August rolls around that the world will be fit to play in. I will be using the prompts to give this new world a rich developed feel for the new campaign. Stay tuned and watch for posts as I finish work. You may also see a few articles in Eryia by Byrnkastal, my DM, co-author, and beta reader.
There will eventually be new worlds in my multi-verse. I've already got three sitting in the think tank along with the stories that make them relevant. Worlds aren't worth much if they don't support a story... Which is an opinion you should remember if you are writing to prompt #3 this week (since I'm judging it :-))!
Oh - and I'm promising myself and my readers Silver, but shooting for Diamond.
I hope you are having a great summer, and I look forward to creating with you and reading the great work you do!

Awesome! And actually just finished my article for your prompt. Just have to look at whether I am in competitive mode or not. But it was really a fun time just creating it. Done 6/10.
