World Anvil's Summer Camp 2023 Pledge

Hello! Welcome to my very first World Anvil's Summer Camp pledge!

I have been unable to stick to world anvil for a month, or participate very long in any challenges. This Summer Camp I pledge to try, to work hard, and to world build. To use the ideas and imagination to create, design, and bring to life.
For the actual number goal I will try (my very best!!!) to complete a minimum of eight prompts and hopefully reach my goal of 16.
I hope this Summer Camp leads me to actually succeed in the goals I have set.

Week 1: Power

Power Struggles in Creation

Nix exists at the beginning of nothing, she was there before there existed. She is a creation a being in between existence and nonexistence, a being of immeasurable power. Nix has the ability to create and all creation can be traced back to her. Destruction comes first, a couple of thousand years later Chaos is created, and a few hundred years later, Kosmos is created. Chaos and Kosmos become chosen brothers through centuries of companionship. Destruction craved destruction and orchestrates an act resulting in the sacrifice of Kosmos. When Kosmos sacrifices himself Armonía is born, Chaos in anguish of his death destroys the first-ever realm created and accidentally creates Sun and Moon in the process. Destruction believes everything in creation is his since he is the first creation, Chaos believes he should rule Armonía since it was born through his brother's death. Destruction ends up going into hiding and Chaos is banished by Sun and Moon. In banishment, he accidentally creates Darkness through the acceptance of his brother's sacrifice and the love he had for him. Interestingly enough both Armonía and Sun and Moon who rule it, were born of destruction, only Darkness was born of love and acceptance. (More Info Origin Story)

The Power of Names

Names among Deities are a powerful thing, the original names are given to them by Nix, names which everyone knows. True Names are names chosen by the deities to be called. The choosing of names is sacred and the giving of names even more so. Rarely is it asked for a name to be given, and when asked, it is usually in reverence, love, or trust. Week 2: Frontiers

I guess the biggest frontier is The Great Expanse, the area just outside the outer ring of Armonía. A place undiscovered except for Nowhere, home to Nix. Most do not travel around or even into The Great Expanse, and when they do it is usually to find Nix. The only two beings that live in The Great Expanse are Nix (who lives in Nowhere) and Darkness (who, becoming somewhat friends with Nix, lives in Nightide). Nowhere is on no maps and has been unable to be mapped, it is instead found by obscure details passed down through time and simple instincts guided by Nix herself. You are never able to find Nowhere unless welcomed by Nix. Nighttide has also been unmapped, though this is because the only people who know of its existence are Darkness and Kage (and due to the sacredness of the place neither Kage nor Darkness will ever tell of its location or existence).

The beginning of Armonía's history has been all but lost to the clutches of time. The only part of the creation Armonesians know is true is that everything in creation can be tied back to Nix, she was there before the beginning and is the one who creates. No one knows of the existence of Destruction, he has hidden too well. Destruction has never shown up in any of the versions of the Origin story that has come up. Not only has Destruction been completely ignored and unheard of in history, but the truth of Armonía's creation has also become warped. As the beginning quote states, it is only winners who write history, Kosmos was sacrificed to create Armonía, and the only ones to know firsthand of this truth are Chaos (who was with Kosmos at the moment of his death) and Destruction (who was the mastermind behind Kosmos' sacrifice). Chaos in grief was distraught over the death of the only other person he knew (besides Nix his creator). He destroyed a world and gave life to the twins' Sun and Moon, Sun and Moon were introduced into the world only to see Chaos at his worst, grieving over his brother. Sun and Moon concluded that Chaos was violent and aggressive, it didn't help that Chaos wanted to rule over Armonía for his brother. Chaos had good intentions for Armonía, he spent thousands of years trying to become ruler and then ruling as he tried and failed to act on the intentions he had for Armonía. Chaos in no way, shape, or form in any mental state to fulfill his wishes and instead was deemed a tyrant. Sun and Moon spent thousands of years after his ascension staging revolts and eventually succeeded in a coup d'etat, resulting in the banishment of Chaos to the very realm he destroyed in anguish. Chaos then spends a couple of decades dealing with his emotions and thoughts finally reluctantly accepting what had happened before accidentally giving life to a third child... Darkness, who was born of love. No one wants to hear that Armonía was created through death, no one even knows that it was created out of manipulated death and destruction. No one wants to believe that the Sun and Moon that rule them so graciously were born out of destruction. People refuse to believe that Darkness, with his control of the darkness and the souls, was born out of love. Instead, the winners, Sun and Moon have turned the story against Chaos, forgetting the truth that was.   Darkness is now one of four people who know of the actual origin story. The first is Destruction because although he may be hiding, he is watching, everything... and everyone... The second is Chaos because much (if not all) of the origin story relates to him and as such he has first-hand accounts of what is true. The third is Darkness because is the son of Chaos and treated as one would a father, Chaos is also the only one who gave Darkness any love, affection, or attention as he is severely neglected and ignored by his older sisters. The final person who knows is Kage, the adopted son, and apprentice of Darkness, who learned the truth from both his adopted father and grandfather Chaos.

WEEK 4: COMMUNICATION

The Truth Behind the 'Origin Story' / Draconius
Since Armonía is a collection of realms, communication is a tricky problem to tackle. People had to figure out how to not only communicate on realms but between the realms as well. For a couple of hundred years after the discovery of Realm Weavers, people would pay Realm Weavers to take letters between realms (though this was hardly a good solution and only the very very wealthy had the privilege of doing so). Communication on Realm was still an issue. As people began to look into finding solutions to the communication crisis communication was split into three sections: Divine Communication (announcements from deities that were to be spread across the realms), Outer Realm Communication (communication outside of the boundaries of a realm), and Inner Realm Communication (communication within the boundary of a realm). Finally, solutions were found for each of the communication problems.

Divine Communication

The two solutions for this communication problem were Oracle orbs for prophecies and a Mustika Stone Pendant meant for any type of divine communication other than prophecies. Mustika Pendants can be used for group announcements or one-on-one communication.

Outer Realm Communication

The only solution found to solve this communication problem was actually the discovery of the Zephyrine. A Zephyr is a magical beast that has the ability to travel in a way similar to Realm Weavers across the realms. A Zephyr can either be rented in order to carry a letter, where the borrower and the Zephyr will be short-term bonded together using mind strands. Or a Zephyr can be bought, where the buyer and Zephyr will be permanently bonded together using heart strands.

Inner Realm Communication

There were two main solutions to this communication problem, the first is using a Reon stone, and the second is using an Atlas.
Reon stone is the most expensive option and is very rarely used because of its cost and rarity. In order to talk to a person using a Reon stone the buyer has to be connected through the mind strand to the stone. To use the stone they can either touch stones with another person's Reon stone or if a person doesn't have a stone, they can touch the stone to the forehead of the person they wish to talk to. When touching stones either one of the persons can choose to initiate communication, when touching a stone to the forehead only the person with the stone can choose to initiate communication.
An Atlas is the cheaper way to communicate but is still quite expensive, the cheapest is to borrow from an Atlas Center (borrowing has a flight distance (FD) maximum and you can only borrow the Atlas until you receive the return letter), slightly more expensive to rent (renting has a larger maximum FD but you still have to return after a maximum of ten return flights), and the most expensive is to outright buy one (this option has no restriction on FD maximum or return flights).
