ROYAL GAELIA ALLIANCE (ga-el-ia)
Overview
The Royal Gaelia Alliance is one of the nations that resides in the continent of Tushora, and one of the member-states of the Speran Compact. A nation that is divided into smaller kingdoms each with their own king, who are subject to the authority of a High King. Gaelia is located opposite of the Eyfra Commonwealth, and northwest of the Kingdom of Kessia.Structure
The society of Gaelia is structured by a dual social structure where both the aristocracy and the Merchant class that represents the non-noble classes within Gaelia. This extends even to the vassal kings with some of them being members of the mercantile class, causing them to be dubbed the Mercantile Kings.
The Gaelia aristocracy are considered equal to the mercantile class, and are required by law to behave as such. In practice, it is not uncommon for both sides who show uneasy tensions between them. Infighting is not unheard of.
Within Gaelia, all citizens are allowed by the rights of the Gaelia Constitution to live and go whenever they wish. And to make a living as they will. Serfs are expressly forbidden within Gaelia. All citizens are paid or barter for their work.
Military
The military of Gaelia are called the Gaelia Armed Forces that are lead by a council of admirals, who are headed by a High Admiral. The Gaelia Forces consists of the militaries of the vassal states, with the military forces of Meheath being the largest of all. During times of peace, the vassal kings have sway over their own forces in various matters. However, military matters that affect all of Gaelia fall under the sway of both the High Admiral and the High King.
Religion
Adonulism ("Faith of Adonai") is the dominant religion within the Royal Gaelia Alliance, with the largest population being divided between the Cromens and the Coilites. The Gaelia people take their faith quite seriously. There is a small population that either take up no faith or practice an more pagan faith.

Judicial Body
The judicial system of Gaelia is overseen by a professional class known as the Brehons, who ruled on laws that affected both the vassal states and Gaelia as a whole based on the High Gaelia Constitution. They are a separate branch of government who held the power to overturn royal decrees, and all Gaelia Kings are required by law to heed them.
Executive Body
The Government of Gaelia is structured by the concept of smaller kingdoms that are united by a High King who acts as ruler of the nation, chosen from the ranks of the provincial kings. The High King also ruled their kingdom within Gaelia called Meheath. The vassal kings would meet to discuss matters that affect the alliance as a whole, while matters that affected only their kingdom were left up to that ruler (unless the High King ses fit to intervene).
