“Now you get to judge. Am I hero? Am I a criminal? Am I a companion? Am I a monster?”
A renowned doctor from the
Oreion Inquisition, Corvo reluctantly fought in the third war between the
Crescent Empire and
Oreion Inquisition, determined to carry on a lineage of saving lives in the field. His alchemical expertise was noticed by High Ranking Inquisitors, and he was instead used to create alchemical weapons. Corvo knew the morality of his new role was wrong, and guilt slowly ate away at his very being, until one day while doing field research he came upon a group of Crescentian Legionnaires that were heavily wounded from his fire bombs. Wishing to redeem himself, Corvo left Oreion shortly after the war's end, journeying across Arkos in an effort to use his medical expertise to heal rather than harm.
Dr. Corvo would go on to meet
The Companions in the city of
Brightforge, where he was treating the denizens of the city's warrens for their affliction of
Black Vein. After the adventurers journeyed into the Pale Tombs and recovered a piece of
G'huun the Plaguebringer for Corvo, he was able to manufacture a cure for the dwarven people.
Later on in
The Companions journey, a tiefling named Angel permanently joined their ranks on their way to
The Silver Isles. Encountering Corvo once again, they learned that Corvo was one of the individuals to raise Angel after his Tiefling tribe was attacked and nearly destroyed by the Vulcan Wrath Orc tribe. Following the traces of infection, Corvo journeyed into the Crescentian Underdark alongside the Companions to find the source of
Black Vein and put an end to the disease once and for all. After the slaying of the vile
G'huun the Plaguebringer, Corvo was able to sucessfully concoct and administer a permanent cure to the
Elves of the isles.
While he remained a close personal friend to the Companions and somewhat of a father figure to Angel, Corvo was unfortunately among the first victims of
The Kindling upon the return of
Nex. After the victory at the
Battle of the New Dawn, Angel convinced Corvo's spirit to remain on Arkos and continue to help people, as he believed the doctor's time had not yet come. After helping the citizens of
Imperia, Corvo left
Crescentia, and would go on to found the medical organization known as the Ironbeaks.
