Eighth Elven High King Thoradren Drav Estil

"Sable-Silk King,"

"Nigh into the night doth my people sing, singing the song of unity, as the Silk God of old blesses us with the eternal wreaths of the Makers' True intentions. Hold ye, and stand fast. For the darkness will touch the light of our immortal souls."

Introduction

Also known as the "Sable-Silk King," for his silk black hair, a trait never seen in most elven people. He is the eighth in line as an heir and took the throne as High Elven King of Zera Aldea after his father, Seventh Elven High King Ursaria Drav Estil was slain in the great war known as The War of Sovereignty during The Battle of The Abyssa in 562 AW.   Though looked up to as a mostly wonderful ruler by his people, Thoradren's decision to allow the drow to stay as refugees, albeit in squalor, has many of his once loyal followers upset and disillusioned with him, they fear he is too weak to rule and not as heavy-handed as his father. The First Elven High-King Anduriel Drav Estil had raised a Decree, the "Ash-Blood Wake," which targeted drow specifically and prohibited them from the city and their lands, trespass would mean imprisonment and death. However, after his passing and during the upheaval of the city of Akesh, and the drow's march of despair from what is now Akesh, The Stygianburg, Thoradren reprised and undid the creed, passing instead a new creed known as the "Silk Sympathy Concordant." The now standing rule that drow were to be rescued from their current afflictions, though not necessarily brought to the same level of wealth and prosperity of his own.
