Grippli
Grippli
Physical Description
A grippli has the head and body of a large frog, but it's limbs have flexible fingers that allow it to manipulate weapons and other objects. Grippli can grasp things with their feet in addition to their hands, making them excellent climbers, but they can't use their feet for fine manipulation. Grippli are just as comfortable moving on four legs as they are moving on two legs.
History
Various amphibians thrived off the coastal lands of the Nys before the death of The Wurm. These creatures, while not the most intelligent, would hop their way to certain death in the hands of the Drow. Consumed as a small delicacy, these amphibians were hunted in masse and sold often in supermarkets. After the death of The Wurm, the plagued and diseased land caused these creatures to mutuate into something else. Highly sentient beings with increased intellect, they began calling themselves Grippli. Residing on the island of Lemnos, they migrated to the east of the Nys, like the Onyx Skeletons. There, their tribe thrives away from the intervention of humanoids.
Society
Most Grippli care about the survival of their tribe over moral ideals. Young Grippli are raised by the community rather than a single set of parents. Grippli settlements are mostly built out of mud and other materials that are abundant in the area.
