Tarsius Concolor

Tarsius Concolor or as most people call them TarCons are a small cephalopod creature. It has an oval head with no visible nose, mouth or ears, with ten tentacles coming off the head. The eyes are large black balls on the side of the head. Two of the tentacles are longer than the other eight. The mouth is at the base of the head, with rows of flappy spikes. The TarCons are about the size of a small human hand. Their colors are a light pink with dark gray markings or a dark gray with purple markings. The TarCons make their homes, mate and hide their young in the dark twisted, complex root system of the Bur Nettle. Now the Bur Nettle’s root system does more than just provide shelter to the TarCons. It also provides one of the main food sources for the TarCons. TarCons find and eat the oldest roots of the Bur Nettle allowing room for the new roots to grow. Also the TarCons will eat the algae that grows along the roots keeping the Bur Nettle healthy. Without the TarCons the Bur Nettle’s roots would twist and cut off each other strangling the plant. If the plant survived, it would die by the infection from the algae that would also grow among its roots. The TarCons would also not do well without the Bur Nettle as the plant provides their food and shelter.
The Bur Nettle is a plant where the roots are in the water, while the rest of the plant is on land. The root system of a Bur Nettle is large and very tangled. The vines grow around trees and rocks. The leaves are large with a shiny appearance. The flowers are clusters of many thousands of little pink or purple buds. The underside of the leaves have tiny sharp needles that will break off and cause irritation and rash until the needles work themselves out of the skin. The only water source of the Bur Nettle is found in dark sea coves that get little sunlight.
