Mango Mud
Mango mud is an ingredient in several different medicines and is used to create a specialty dye used in magical potions and spells. Mango mud is made from the skin of the giant mango fruit. The giant mango fruit is roughly the size of a large cantaloupe but teardrop in shape. It has one seed in the middle of the fruit. The Giant mango vine plant grows in a humid area with mild winters. However, over the years and the increased demand for Mango mud have led to many to cultivated it in many locations out of its natural habitat. The fruit smells sweet with a flora aroma. Which carries to the skins however during the process of making the mango mud the smell becomes more nuanced. Many have said that it smells like rotting whisky. Because of the smell the creation of it is relegated to the outskirts of cities, towns and villages.

History & Usage
Discovery
Discovered by a mage and his wife who grew giant mangos. They experimented with different parts of the plant to see what they could use. During this they found that the raw skins did not provide much other than just to be thrown away. Then by accident which in they had left for several days leaving a mixture of the mango skins soaking in a solution with violet mustard.
That was the start of finding out it could be made into a dye for magic potions and spells. Next a neighbor who was a healer started experimenting with it as a medicine and discovered that it was a key component to helping cure a rare condition. To this day the full extent of the uses of the Mango mud is still being explored.
