Aejor Museum
In the former capital of the Honiel kingdom lies a building that is unfinished and has been in a state of constant construction. Who started the building was Kenia Aejor. Towards the end of Kenia Aejor’s life, she started building a family home. A place that her children could gather, is what she said, when asked about it.
It was a huge undertaking that was being built on what was at the time the outskirts of the city. It is a massive 500,000 square foot building. In the design, there were to be at least ten receiving rooms. Two huge great halls. Several bedrooms, at least five kitchens, and several baths. Several sections for different family members, plus staff quarters for said family members. In the middle many rooms and one of the great halls that let out into a huge courtyard. The craftsmen who worked on the building were the best that could be found at the time. Some of the rooms had very simple decorations, while others had over-the-top, ornate decorations. Though it was mixed together in a way that it did not look out of place.
However, construction stopped when Kenia Aejor died. The next two rulers did nothing with it, leaving it as a partially finished building. Then the third decided that they wanted to finish it, so they started construction on it again. However, this was also halted as a war with a neighboring kingdom started shortly after stopping the construction once again. This cycle of starting construction and stopping continued. To this day, it is still unfinished but now is being worked on by a dedicated group wanting to honor Kenia Aejor’s memory. The finished portions of the building have been turned into a museum. This also helps fund the work on finishing the building.
