First recorded human interaction with Lampholders

The local newspaper features a headline on the event; "Mysterious Robed Man With Lamp Returns Lost Dog Home; Knocks On Owner's Door Then Disappears Into Forest".

Not much is known about when they actually started, but this was the first recorded contact with them. Since this point, their merciful actions became more and more frequently observed, though people here and there tell stories of the poor, unloved and unwanted being whisked away by these robed figures, never to be seen again.
