Shared Initiative
Players that roll the same initiative make their turns at the same time, allowing for collaboration or for them to decide each round who goes first. Monsters on the same initiative roll go last in that roll.
More Satisfying Crits (Brutal) Roll damage normally, then determine the maximum damage you can roll with your weapon before applying modifiers. Combine the rolled damage with the max weapon damage, then add modifiers.
Spellcasting Components Normal material components for a spell may be forgone via use of a spellcasting/arcane focus. However, if a spell is cast as a ritual, components are necessary, with a components pouch having five uses as spellcasting materials. Spells that require an item of an equivalent monetary value (example: revivify) do need that material(s) to be purchased or found outside of combat.
Potions Heal for Maximum HP Makes potions more consistent, potions requiring a bonus action to consume.
Mana Potions to Restore Spell Slots Pretty self explanatory. Expensive, but useful. Like all potions, they require an action to consume.
Non-Healers can Attempt to Stabilize Downed Players Without a healing spell, by being within range of touch, a player can attempt to aid a downed player by rolling a medicine skill check against the death save DC (10). A success counts as succeeding a death save, but failure adds a failure. Bonuses from spells such as guidance do apply as it’s an ability check. Takes an action to perform.
