Chronophage/Dwarf
Chronophage/Half Dragon/Dwarf
The term “Dwarf” is a misnomer. Up until recently, short, stocky men that lived underground in mines was just as much a fanticy to the races of Argos as it is today. Calling themselfs “Chronophage” (One’s Lost to Time) in Draconic, this mulicolored race are an evoloution of the metalic dragons of legend, sealed up benith the earth, and over the course of centrys, loseing there massive phisique and melding in with other underground dezins, before recently breaking ground to the surfance.
The average Chronophage stands less than 5 feet tall and is covered in various multicolored scales. The descendants of dragons forced into prisons thousands of years ago, the Chronophage are a noble, proud warrior-race, despite their short stature. Scholars claim they are devolved versions of true dragons, while others claim they resemble the “dwarfs” of legend, and are simply an offshoot race. Regardless of the truth, with few true dragons around in Argos skies, there's nothing to dispute the Chronophage's clame. Final note: the term “Chronophage (Draconic for “Time-lost”) is a scholarly term, rather than a racial one. Most Chronophage refer to their own race as either by their flight “Gold-Scale” or grouply as their breed “Metal Dragons/Metallic Draconids”
