This all changed during the Westcrown War for Independence. Manifesting as a simple human warrior named Cendric, this humble mortal lead the resistance movement against the devils and hell knights of Westcrown, eventually his divinity shining through. While at first the vessel resisted, documents recovered by the New Vanguard of Westcrown reveal that Aroden was willingly placed into this form by Sartre, in order to serve as pendence, and experience the world as a mortal once more. Theologians still debate these documents to this day, but Cendric was scene at the final day for Westcrown, where he now rules, albeit reluctantly, as the reincarnation of Aroden, and servant of Sarenrae.
