The Search for Yukichi Takuzawa

After returning to Yomi, Aya elects to stay and tend to Peter's wounds, and teach him what he needs to know to survive as an Ascendant Oni, but promises that she would rejoin them at their next destination in another day or two. The Hunting Party continues their investigation, chasing after a promising lead in the ex-shrine priest, Yukichi Takuzawa who apparently lives among family in the Winter City, Daijitokai. Learning that he had recently illegally sold the home he inherited from his late mother, selling almost all of his possessions, questioning his neighbors about Takuzawa and where he may have gone leads their investigation to a frigid portside district were new construction is slowly expanding the city. The foreman steers the party to one house in particular as their descriptions of Takuzawa match someone the workers had noticed frequenting an older seemingly-abandoned home. Entering, they find it vacant, yet discover definitive evidence that Takuzawa was indeed involved in the massacre at the santucary. Among his meager possessions, the party discovers a journal detailing over a decade of Takuzawa's life and descent into madness, his plot to destroy the Sanctuary, as well as his involvement in the destruction of the village of Kanamura nearly 15 years prior.
