Solving the Mystery / Entering the Dreamstate

As the party returns to the village, they are met by Lillyanna du Foux, the very scholar who had arrived alongside them on the ship from the mainland days ago. Travelling to compose a dissertation on Terawa's folk customs, Lillyanna learns about the terrible occurrences looming over the village and upon hearing of the party's experiences in the forest the previous night, she states that she might be able to help them. Revealing herself as a gifted oneiromancer, Lillyanna concludes that the fiend preying on Yamakaze's people may in fact be doing so from the realm of dreams, which she has named The Dreamstate. Through a ritual spell of her creation she calls Dream Tether, she sends the Hunting Party into the Dreamstate, a vivid, undulating parallel dimension made up of dreams. In that world's version of Yamakaze, the party manages to hunt down and eliminate the demon that had been hunting the sleeping villagers, putting an end to their troubles.
