Mason's Rest

A small coastal village within the Wine Region of western Flamelle, Mason's Rest is situated along the inlet of Masthead Bay, and just south of the Sommet Mountains within the plains nearest the River Sen. Known for being a quiet, peaceful village, it largely serves as a location to pass through en route to other larger towns or cities as it sits along the Western Road. Pastural, with many acres of farmland stretching off toward the east until hitting dense forest, and yet also coastal with a large sailing and fishing industry, the village enjoys a productive year-long existence. During the turbulent events of the years 1202 and 1203 ATC however, Mason's Rest, like many other small towns and villages, became the victim of increased crime, often dealing with bandit raids and looting. It was luckily spared the same kind of destruction that towns like Haven suffered, thanks in part to the heroic efforts of its citizens in standing up to the roving bandit groups that would have continued to target the village otherwise.
